BMW Serie 3 Touring (E30) (1988-93)

BMW introduced the second generation 3 Series model in 1983, with full production on this vehicle starting a year later. Based on an entirely new E30 platform, the 3 Series came with several body styles: 2-door coupe (1983), 4-door saloon (1984), 2-door convertible and 5-door station wagon (1988). The 3 Series Touring was only available for the European market and featured a shorter chassis and revised suspension, as well as redesigned fascia compared to the previous E21-platform model. One year after its official launch, the 3 Series Touring received some engine updates and was optioned with a top-of-the-range Alpina 2.7L unit delivering 172 hp. The 3 Series Touring and Roadster were discontinued in 1993, two years after the disappearance of the 4-door saloon.
